Positive Weekend

While I didn’t do anything exciting like land an airplane in a farmer’s field this weekend, many positive things happened. The biggest and most important is the winter weather is finally wearing off. Today was around 50-60 degrees with sunshine and it felt great. I have heard the airport is in full operation again, and that’s very good news. I still have some flying to get in to finish my instrument rating, and not having to fight freezing and snow is a great thing. However, the forecasts call for rain off and on for a while, so I’m not totally optimistic yet. I also got to work my job again on Saturday. I would have worked baseball games at the University of Kentucky, but they were snowed out so I just went to our warehouse and cooked kettle corn for a couple of hours. It was great to get some work hours in, as I haven’t been able to with all of the winter weather so far this year. Lastly, I got a lot of reading done while it was snowy outside. I’m caught up with all of my classes, and almost finished a library book I’ve had since October. I have to start the grind soon with mid terms and projects due before spring break, but I think I’m well prepared. I’m hoping to get my stage checks and flights rescheduled soon for this week so I can get them out of the way. Thanks for reading and have a good week,
