Spring Break Begins

This weekend started Spring Break for EKU, and it’s been a pretty good one. The trip I was supposed to take to Nashville to work a soccer tournament selling kettle corn got canceled, so I drove home Friday to Louisville. I was kind of disappointed I couldn’t make money this weekend, but I got to hang out with my brother Friday night on the University of Louisville’s campus. The drive back home was horrendous. It was snowing, and I got stuck in two traffic stops on the highway. The crashes looked horrible when I passed them (fire and all) so hopefully they were okay. The rest of this weekend has been spent watching basketball (go Kentucky!), working out, and unfortunately paying lots of money in taxes. This week I’m going to catch up on reading (too bad it’s not sunny outside), visit my old high school with an old friend, and catch up with friends around town. It’s going to be a pretty relaxing break as a whole, but I also need to worry about studying for the IFR check ride a bit. I’m calling Petyon Hoge this Wednesday to hopefully get details and a green light for the following Tuesday, but we’ll see. Thanks for reading, have a great rest of the week.
